Yes, I't was totally hilarious, and I loved it. Not sure its exactly what we are trying to promote for the game though, lol. I think the First video was closer to that.
Just a thought too, if a promotion video is made, I think it would be good to do it in the highest resolution possible. These videos were well made, but it seemed a little blurry from Youtube, not sure if it was uploaded that way or what for memory reasons, or if thats the clearest a video can be made?

Back then Acridiel had some trouble with disc space and upload-bandwidth so most videos were made as small as possible (filesize)

happened across a program that will take video, called "FRAPS", it's a fps program, but offers a way to make videos of ANY game running directX or openGL. just a thought for those that wanted to make a video, not sure if it works on mac or linux, but it's a place to start i guess.

Yup, I used fraps to record treks, it can record voice too if you need that, it's pretty ok.

Just a caveat, its videos use a lot of disk space .. think 4 gb segments for each 2m:30s, you can easily fill a smaller hard drive.

what format does it save in? whats the file extension for the 4GB segment?

Ok, I picked a recent file. According to Wikipedia, this is a pretty standard size because of the encoder .. and you can't use a different one.

Any way I could download that file to play with it? I might be able to significantly decrease its size whilst retaining its quality.

i was just thinking about that, and yes, a google drive would allow a person to upload the file, and then share the file with another person, all that takes is a gmail account, which most everyone has, and it's free too (google drive is limited to i think 10gb's) {there are also programs that will split large avi files into smaller chunks based on the size you tell it, it would still be a 4gb file, but could be cut into 8 chuncks of 500mb}

hope that helps.
