How does this relate to what happened in Italy before and during World War 2 ? Please explain.

Overall this is a game - in it there is no reason why Marauders cannot be members of ordinary guilds - they are without religions - and some of them are very, very nice - they do not all eat babies

As the game stands at the moment - it is a very hard life for a marauder - the reasons why the people behind the character choose such a role can be to do with many things - on Aris it was more to take part in different events - e.g. to have fun - NOT to be dragged on when killing named - not to have tells insulting them - not to be treated as Outsiders and blamed - so stop this racism, fight against these inner fears you have - and remember not to project your own evil souls onto others.

This game population is small - some of us would definitely not miss other players if they left, but for the good of the game and keeping it going - perhaps you need to have a summit meeting to rid yourselves of prejudice and this appalling attitude

i chose to take the marauder rite. i chose to be in a (then) kami guild.
it's nice to have choices in a sandbox game. if you want to limit your choices by alligning to a religion then that too is a choice.
marauder aren't a 'faction' like the kami and kara.. same goes for rangers.
essentially, mara and ranger are neutral as in 'without faith'.

personally, i could not care less what anyone thinks. i could not care less if someone miraculously edits the game coding to make it impossible for a mara/neutral/ranger to be in any other guild but a guild of thier fame levels.
if the game one day tells me that i must leave a certain guild because i am not of the right persuasion then so be it.

none of it matters!
there are far more important things to bring into the game.
bickering about nonsensical issues is a waste of time and energy.

a mara/neutral/ranger being in a none mara/neutral/ranger guild bares no difference on the game whatsoever.

Virg, the whole point of being a Marauder is to break away from nations and live an independent life.

What's next ? Karavaneers standing up and saying Ma-Duk is their loved god and that they believe in him and not Jena, and since Ryzom is a sandbox game, it should be accepted, even more since it's not a "basic" view. Or Kamists who believe in the all powerful Karavan ?

I'm all for originality, but going against the "core value" of a faction is a bit hard to cope with. Maybe McDonalds will open gas stations and will start dealing oils on international markets ? Why not, I guess the real life is a big sandbox, right ?

Please don't tell me what the whole point of being a marauder is. That is something that is different for everyone. It may confuse you and you clearly are unable to understand the concept of why I am a marauder.

You clearly didn't read my post also.. I clearly said there are two types of marauder.. You have just quoted the other type. Virg recently joined marauder so it would be completely stupid to start roleplaying as a homin who was left behind at the great swarming wouldnt it now?? "Oh hey yeh I have been Kami for 3 years but ops! I suddenly forget! I just remembered I was left behind at the great swarming and now I hate everyone!!!"

It's a defining value of the marauder faction.

Lore is changed. altered, adjusted - in a living game - we can add to what is there - there is precious little anyway - and any civilization would work to integrate and accommodate all people / homins - and definitely not "label" all the members of any group with same negative traits

I refer to in group/out group and the roots of fascism again ...

Just adjust this narrow label to accommodate difference and look for the similarities

And what better way of integrating some of these marauders than to take them into a guild and give them lots of love and care

This is nothing - we are talking about genocide of a multinational organization here in this land
