I was just thinking, what if you introduce dye into the game, this dye could exist in all colours available in game for crafted stuff (might even introduce some new?), and could be used to add colours to crafted gear. One idea how it could work, is that you must add xx number of dye to a craft, where xx is equal to or greater than the number of mats that makes out the colour. This could be added in a "special" slot in the crafting window.

Every mat for crafting already has its own colour. The Final colour of an item is determined by whichever colour has the most materials in the recepie of that colour. (hope that made sense :P)

Yes, I know. hmm… How to explain what I mean… lets say you want to make LA MQ chest (totally 17 mats). You have 7 green mats, and 10 purple, but you want the result to be green, so you add 4x green dye (totally 11 green parts and 10 purple) to tip the balance so that the result is green instead of purple.

Edit: And if you wanted that same one to be red instead, you would then need to use 11 red dye to overcome the 10 purple mats.

Interesting idea and it would certain mean Elvanae could wear her pink armour without completely sacrificing the stats! In terms of actually implementing it I do believe there are a lot more important things to be done but just my opinion.

ITS PURPLE! NOT PINK!!!! 8-)

I like the idea. Right now if you want green/turqouise/beige/purple you have to accept the stats to be rubbish so your stuck with red/blue/white/black :( And when I do dodge LA everyone in guild has White LA like a uniform lol

The number of people who are asking for black or white armor would probably disagree. I think the dyes idea has legs, but it would involve new programming and that is currently in short supply.

Interesting idea. Another option to gain the same result would be not to tie the colour into the crafting process at all. Instead open another stall beside the tattooist and hairdresser for armour dyeing/painting; then you could change the colour as the mood and dappers took you.

Pimp my armour anyone? :o)

Would still require programming though...

Offtopic plug for my request : Winch Gate should bring in students as interns.

Hairy code > no code anytime. It's ridiculous how half the player base yells for years that they want content, and that's exactly what WG avoids like the plague, hopes to offload on players because we should supplement that via roleplay.

i like the npc for "pimping my armor", new dapper sink for in game, and a way to choose colors, maybe black and white would not be options to keep the stuff made with mostly PR mat's "special".

just a couple dappers more from me on this idea.
