(( Maxxye (and I speak from behind the keyboard to you behind the keyboard): do not assume that because someone disagrees with your interpretation of the Lore that they are somehow not seriously role-playing their avatar. You have no more claim to being "right" than they do. In addition, if someone chooses not to roleplay to the extent that you do, they have the right to look at the results of your kind of roleplay and criticize it on the basis of how that affects the game, just as you have the right to look at the results of their type of roleplay and criticize it on the basis of how you see it affecting the game.))

it is my first commandment to be respectfull for atys people, except the bookworm salazar, but then every npc in atys might frown on me and not let me play.... right? since they've all bowed down to his dreams

When Bittty was young he read the scriptures of both the Karavan and the Kamis. He read the Ten Commandments of Jena and the 8 revelations of Ma-Duk and the commentary thereon by Disciples and Sages. ((OOC: See information on http://bmsite.net and http://en.ryzomnomnom..com/wiki/Kami and http://en.ryzomnomnom..com/wiki/Karavan. Translations exist in other languages as well.)) He became a Karvan when young because his "father" was a Kami and Bittty blamed his father for leaving him in the refugee village to come to the new lands. Since the Second Swarming and the apparent inability of either the Kami or the Karavan to stop it, he has ceased to be associated with either the Kami or the Karavan as a church and has since then studied to become a Ranger. However, even before that time, he noted that *neither* the Kami Revelations *nor* the Karavan Commandments said anywhere that he could not interact with those of the opposite Cult. In fact the opposite is true -- both churches command their followers to proselytize, to win over deluded homins ("deluded" being defined by "belonging to the other cult"). Therefore, even as a Karavan and a Tryker, he would help any homin who was in need. The extremist position of "thou shalt not interact" is nowhere justified in the scriptures. That some homins take it to such extremes saddens Bittty, but they are free homins under the light of Jena. This does not mean that his belief and his actions are any less (or any more).

Dear gentle and not so gentle homins of Atys, i am posting here tonight to bring a few things that i have noticed lately on my return to the game. Starting off many of you know that i have been on the game for 7 of the 10 years of Ryzom being a game, and all of those years F2P, I have enjoyed my years on the game, I have been Kami and Karavan both for several years, and over those years we made a lot of great memories and friends, however, times have changed, And what i have seen on my weeks back to the game quite frankly hurt me deeply. The desire for power and greed is overwhelming not only on the Kami side, but also on the Karavan side, A lot of players have lost the Homin to Homin respect that we all had for one another REGARDLESS of faction, I am truly disgusted when i see players say they will not train with another player simply because of the guild he/she is in, it is one thing if that player is not liked or is a troll, but it truly saddens me when i see homins denying other homins the fun and pleasure of leveling, i do believe in Kara/Kami leveling together to grow stronger for PvP and OP battles, Especially since Kara is struggling right now, AS FOR the OP situation, do bear in mind that who is on top this month is like high and low tide everyday the shift of power shifts like it always has and always will so stop whining if your side is struggling, gather new players, or newly subbed F2P players boost levels and make masters out of them like we are all destined to be and fight for what you want. As for any players that have disrespected me for going Kami/Asylum shame on you that just reflects poorly on your character as a person in real life, i do find it a damn shame that players take faction swaps/changes so dearly to heart and ruin friendships/mutual respects, For the record i am a Homin Marauder, and Kami Guilded, I respect all Homins of Atys and only ever start something with another if i am started with first, i will train and fight with any/all role play and just simply have fun on the game with all like we are suppose to do but i am finding it harder and harder to do when so many hold personal grudges on a guild and simply judge all their players just because they dont like that guild. We all need to come together and bond Atys like it previously was, and make the community happy and proud to play the game again because we all know there is a lot of hurt going around. Thank you for taking the time to read my 2;36am rant, i do wish to spend many many more years on the game enjoying leveling myself up and a lot of you up making powerful and great toons out of you.

And if people playing as friends irrespective of faction insults someones RP sensibilities then frankly they need to get over themselves.

Exodus -- Did you miss the part that I was talking about the time before the merger when I was both a Tryker nationalist and a dutiful Karavan? What I presented was my roleplay credo during the time when I was active in OP battles, and active in debating religious matters in roleplay with devout Kamis. You have not shown me anywhere in the Lore that commands followers of the Kami (or Karavan) not to associate, trade with or join with the opposing side in common enterprises (such as fighting kitins or Marauders). I presume that command is in the rules of the Alliance, but it is not in Lore. You are free to play by those rules. I will not, and apparently there are a number of Kami who also will not. As far as I'm concerned if roleplay does not follow the Lore, then the roleplay may as well take place in some other game where opposing sides cannot lure player toons to change their flag, or even talk to each other. That's how I see it. If it is not based in Lore, then what is the roleplay based in? In your case it seems to be based in the rules of the Kami Alliance. You are free to make and follow those rules, but I am free to disagree with them. You are correct that I do not need to justify my current position based on the Kara/Kami lore, but I do have to justify it based on what small lore we have concerning the Rangers. Yes, you can be upset - I do not deny you that right. However, you seem to be telling me that I *cannot* be upset, just because I am (currently) neutral? I don't think so. The current status quo affects me as a neutral, and not in a good way. As for forums -- most of my roleplay in forums consists of reporting on events that actually happened on the server (for the benefit of those who could not be present) or presenting invitations (framed in roleplay terms) for others to join me ingame for roleplay. (I will admit to some number of simple journal entries that I wrote in the hope of illustrating the methods of aligning a players mind towards roleplay.) You say that I cannot be affected by other people's roleplay because I post things in the forums? I challenge that assertion. Each time people play with me, and each time they do not, I am affected. (An obvious example might be the hunting of the aggressive white kitins and the scouting of the behavior of them as homins have tried to close the kitin Mounds.) That this roleplay does not involve battles against other homins does not make it more or less roleplay. Sir, I debate you. I do not call you names. I do not intend to insult you. I merely present my point of view in response to your statements. -- Bittty

I think the problem is, is people like you exodus who dont know enough about the game, its roots, or even the lore, because you cant even take an hour to read bits of it to fully understand ryzom, however you find the time to try and rip a well known and respected player like bitty for his knowledge of the game, if i ever see you ill put your childish self in check young boy.

I felt you were sarcastic, when clearly there no point in doing that.
Oh and one more thing, you *were* a karavan on Aris, you are neutral on *Atys*. Big difference, what was on Aris, stays on Aris. Plain and simple. Try to see the current situation and then "tell us the good news"
Kami Alliance is 80% of the population, majority wins, we had to adapt.I'm suppose to fight against someone who uses all the dirty tricks and then besides the 80% of population I got more than 50% of karvans playing with kamis AND some neutral telling me how to play the game (yes, you are telling us how to play, cause you jumped in this discussion explaining us how you feel is right)
