IDEAS FOR RYZOM

Hello all another idea and I think you can guess what it will be.

The event team have just introduced Mezix to Atys. This lead in could be used to introduce Mezix as a new NPC boss! The fyros and forest lands are missing LA NPC bosses. Seeing as Mezix was nicely situated in the fyros lands and was wearing LA NPC beige armour (from what I saw) this fits in perfectly.

EDIT: Apparently was wearing some MA parts. This idea could go just as easily for MA NPC armour. Please tick yes for Mezix to be introduced as the new MA boss or LA boss.

While I would like a new NPC boss (and MA being a good idea), Mezix is not newly introduced. She was e.g. mentioned during the Nine Mektoubs event as the chief sorceress of Akilia Ash Storm. So she is at least recently assumed to reside in the Old Lands, and, by the way, in possession of special teleportation abilities.

Before, she was responsible for abductions (using her charm to seduce stupid fyros males feeding them to her gingos afterwards) in the late 2530s. She is referred to in Mezix lives!? in 4th AC, 2548. Then already, she had summoned a gingo plague over the Wild Dunes.

If she would be permanently deployed to the New Territories, it would be a sad loss for Akilia, especially due to Mezix' talent to mollify Akilia's uncontrolled temper. It would, in addition, require a background story why the always mobile and fairly elusive Mezix is taking a permanent home.

Mezix was already known on Aniro, we saw her a few time on events more than 4 years ago.

Well in light of the recent events i think now would be a good time to make her a LA/MA NPC boss.

She could even drop either LA or MA, making her use double-fold.

As for your comment about Mezix taking up a permenant home Daoemi, I have put forward a possible idea below:
(I'm sure it has some flaws and needs fine-tuning. The point is I don't think a back-story would be too difficult to come up with for Mezix being attackable every so often.)

Recently we routed Mezix out of Dragon's Gullet Impasse. We killed large numbers of her gingos and her marauder troops. Every Atysian month (~1.5 RL days) Mezix could attempt to build up a large force of gingos in the desert which would give homins a chance to attack her. This would not be her taking up a permanent residence per say, more just a temporary residence to rebuild the stock of gingos we killed. (Perhaps her unique teleportation abilities can't handle moving large numbers of gingos from the old to new lands?)

This would still mean Mezix would be available to use in Akilla's plans but would also give us a chance to attack and kill her.

If the dev team is listening to this at all, Virg, I have to say that I really like your role-play reason for Melix being temporarily fixed. Given that, it would also be clear that her minions would be gingos, probably very large ones.

I wonder what would be her special ability that would make her hard to bring down. Possibly short-range teleporting that would break targeting, forcing attackers to periodically retarget and move (whether melee or caster)? Combine that with highly effective drain spells? I don't know really, but it should be something in keeping with her being a sorceress.

With her being a sorceress perhaps sleep AoE similar to that of Pei-Ruiz? A possible short range teleport could be a nice idea to prolong the fight.

Gingos are most definitely one of the most annoying mobs to face. I saw Mezix's latest batch didn't have blind affy thankfully however I think their blind attack coupled with sleep from Mezix enabling the gingos to land hits would make her a tricky and annoying boss (whilst being extremely fun at the same time).
