AFP | 11:00 | PARIS (France) - Frédéric Bricaster, maintenance officer of the Department of Science and Engineering of MegaCorp revealed, by error, an image of the company on Facebook. Wishing to impress his friends by providing proof that he is working on a secret project at MegaCorp, Frédéric published a screen shot on Facebook while not realizing his account settings were "visible to all." The post has since been removed but a copy of the photo and associated messages was procured: "Now do you believe me when I tell you I'm working on a secret MegaCorp project? Thrown for a loop, eh? Who won the bet? It's me, Freddy!"

An inquiry is currently being conducted to learn more details about this underground project.

for those wondering, i did a few checks,

tried logging in with an alt account, gave the response, "Character no syncrhonised" rather than "invalid user/password", wich is strange, but means also linked to webig (or something)!

meta data shows the site author as winchgate, whois info confirms this

getting a 404 shows up some extra stuff, but clicking on anything returns you to the log in

Good digging Xtarsia. Winch Gate Properties seems to be the 'new' team of developers who manage Ryzom so at a guess this site megacorp.io is a new Ryzom hub.

Looking forward to seeing what they have coming

I guess 'new' is the right term here, as far a I heard, Winchgate is the new company from part of the old Nevrax team.

That site is interesting to say the least.

Hopefully that mean Ryzom development has been stagnating because everyone was working on this.

You can't "complete" the mainland. If one thinks one has seen or done everything there, one is kidding oneself. But be prepared to "get out what you put in," because the mainland does not coddle or hold hands.

Other games - they give you a cookie whether you succeed or not, in fact you don't even have to participate. Ryzom takes your cookie, eats it in front of you, and slaps you 2 or 3 times for bringing a cookie in the first place.

Hehe but kind off scary if Bible gets explained then rp is gonna be death for most. I got the feeling explaining all would be easy way for them to close Ryzom down.

Hmm, very, very interesting. Site is based on MeteorJS and sources are obfuscated, I couldn't find anything in them. But after you open the page, it starts getting dictionaries from server, and they are quiet intriguing.
Looks like there will be in-game-linked chat ('Universe', 'Guild'), some sort of documents which we will be able to encrypt and decrypt and some mysterious substance 'C60' which we will be able to use for decrypting encrypted documents and to unlock some features('Quantity of C60', 'Document encrypted. Need {0} C60 and {1} to decipher it.', 'Send C60 to the system to unlock the Chat').
