Ryzom should have one week a month or perhaps just a weekend where PvP tags are mandatory.

Every homins PvP flag would automatically be turned on and everyone automatically have to engage or be subjected to being attacked as part of PvP. This would add spice to the game.

+1 to see how homins cope, to see if it helps to add something to the game, and lore could be developedto explain it. Hopefully it would become a regular monthly or twice a month occurance

I am neither weak, nor frail. I simply do not wish to be involved in PvP. The guild I belong to does not wish to be involved in PvP. I have excellent roleplay and personal reasons not to engage in PvP. I do not wish to be excluded from this game for a day, much less a weekend.

In addition, there are *many* lower level homins who, even if they wish to learn PvP, will end up being ganked and find it not fun. Active PvP is pretty much endgame content except in mass formations.

If you want to declare a "PvP weekend" and encourage everyone you know (and everyone you don't) to tag up and play, then by all means do so. If it is voluntary, that is good. People participating might even find it fun and could drop out when it ceased to be fun. Those of us who don't want to participate could sit and watch and drink our stinga daiquiris and take side bets. Some of us might get a kick out of it.

I cannot see the analogy to spice, except for perhaps the "spice" being a ghost pepper. In response to that analogy, I quote many of my friends on the subject of "nuclear" chili and "buffalo wings":

Im up for this, if it was only 1 day, and as a one off at first.

As for bittys comments. You arent being forced to pvp by this, its entirly your choice to push your fames past 25/-25. A lot of lowbies wont have done this anyways ;)

I do agree having it for a whole weekend/week would be too much.

People arent always as blood thirsty As you might think. Some are though. :D

You know how Aris was... everybody was friend with everybody just because, I was marauder on that server and i was told even from begining I'm not suppose to attack anyone, because we are all friends here.

And now you come and try to do what? deform reality?

I have never seen you tagged.. so you dont follow the trend, you played on a server nobody was doing any pvp... unless you had a wake up call.. but either way, preach it about it within your guild, start from there.. how about that?

Kind of reminds me of the dumb ideas they get on Eve-online forums where PvPers think everyone needs to be a target.

All what will happen is that it'll drive more people from the game. Problem with such ideas is that not all homins are equal, those characters that have been around for years could easily make mince meat out of younger characters.

In Eve-online what used to happen when a player corp got war declared, some people just didn't bother playing during the war dec, or would play an alt that wasn't in the corp. So forced global PvP will more than likely force some people out of the game, be it temporary (during the period) or permanently.

Rollocks, I can't tell whether you're serious or just trolling, but on the off-chance that you are serious: this would be an excellent way to drive participants away from the game.

Damn right, I'm serious. It is sad to see you what has become the typical player response, when someone disapproves of suggestion and they resort to name calling or suggesting the person who made it is a troll. I expected better from you Bittymacod.

How would you be excluded from the game? My suggestion does not include locking players out. There are several safe zones that pacifist can gather, i.e. Kami TPs, Kara TPs and Marauder TPs.

Really, what is this claim based on? Or did you just make it up and assume that it would accepted as true? How do you know what low level homes will find fun? Obviously what the game currently is offering is bringing in and keeping new players by the truckload.

While I'd like to see the PvP flags be mandatory for all, perhaps the GM's could incentivize activating the PvP flag by awarding players who permanently turn on the PvP flag with special gear and titles.

Drive players from the game? They are already leaving. Just because a player is stronger than another does not mean that another player is going kill him just because he is tagged. I'm sure you that even a weak and frail player such as you can make mincemeat out of a yubo, yet I doubt you spend your time annihilating them.

Sad to see some people revert to name calling and believe others are trolling. Also how easily they strike down others opinions yet offer no ideas themselves to aid the game. A forced PvP week would certainly be interesting however due to the level differences and the fact people are so unwilling to PvP their would be (and certainly seems to be such an outcry).

To modify the idea into something managable I would quite like if more zones were made PvP zones at certain times. For example all PR zones were PvP during night time, or perhaps something longer like a season or a week.
