Short ago, we assaulted Desert Stock in a league of 44. Was hard fight and big fun. The only downside was the loot gained: 2 sup Kitin larvae q250 (max 4 possible when Egiros works at maximum). And refill is rumoured once per reboot - meaning that the subsequent victorious league would not get anything.

This is not an incentive to launch that challenging combat mission to say the least. I would therefore suggest to

- increase the number of harvestable larvae to the max boss/sup loot per spot and season/reboot (66-72)
- limit the number harvestable per hour to something like 5 or 6 spots so that 10-20 are possible per raid

This would make raids on kitin fortresses more interesting without flooding the planet with larvae

We also invaded Desert stock for 3 seasons in a row, each season only getting 2 larvae. it's really a lot of work for very little reward other than being able to say we got inside and foraged the larvae there.

Although increasing the number of mats is a good incentive to raid the nests you can actually dig the larvae safely with 6 people. Therefore unless the nest layout is changed I do not think this is a good idea.

Thanks for the hint, Virg, forgot about that (and did not know that it is possible in DS, too). It is probably true that this loophole should be stuffed prior to changing the yield (at least in EF, that worked even with less than 6 iirc). Or at least made much harder ;)

we did it with 3 (just sayin) but still not worth the effort for only 2 larvae.

I know you can do it with a fewer which is why I added "safely" as the less people the riskier it can be :)

I thought about that. I love the possibility of a small team to sneak in and "steal" the larvae, and it would be pity to remove it as it is fun and thrill.

So I would suggest: The 2 (or more with Egiros) larvae kept as a default. Only after the death of the Kidinak and all her guards the additional 4-5 spots would be available for a limited time (5-10 minutes max). Afterwards, the spot would remain empty until next kidinak and guards demise.

That would preserve the fun for daring adventurers while not opening for abuse.

Edit: Even extending the reward for the "thieves" to 10 per season would be ok imho ;)
