Other games - they give you a cookie whether you succeed or not, in fact you don't even have to participate. Ryzom takes your cookie, eats it in front of you, and slaps you 2 or 3 times for bringing a cookie in the first place.

I have a picasa and a Flickr account. I use the Flickr accunt to do maps and other images for my RP posts. Neither of them like to share. And uploading is not that easy for me. I admit I haven't tried Imgur, but I suspect that the whole thing of setting up an account and "managing my account" will drive me buggy. And it will keep asking me for "friends" or "contacts" or "circles" or "group gropes" or whatever it's being called these days. All these sites are trying to be "social", and I am not a social person.

I could do it, but it ain't worth it for me, at least not for an idle game within a game.

Imgur is similar to imageshack or photobucket, you don't need an account to upload images. Just dump them and they'll be stored until 6 months elapse from the last visit.

Oh and I have an account too, they have been remarkably low-key. Asked for the "social" aspect maybe once, never again :)

fair point, bitty.

i struggled to share with Flickr too.. not tried picasa. but imgur is incredibly simple and doesn't force you to be social. not in the slightest. it has an editing tool which works nicely and is quick. admittedly it does have a more childish feel to it than Flickr does.
