add copy paste to ingame forums like when failing a bug report - IDEAS FOR RYZOM

I was just filling a bug report and I noticed copy paste worked differently there.

You can actually select text ther with the mouse and then cut it from the text with ctrl+x

reason i'm asking for that is I'm using ingame forums most of time and links don't work in here. So then ijust hit quote the text do a ctrl+a then ctrl+c and close and paste all in browser and filter out link. If you could select text here like when failing a bug report then that would go much faster

nope i can't select anything on the ingame forums with mouse all i can do is ctrl+a to select all. (i'm not talking about in a browser but almost never login with browser)

unlike me, i'm too long winded to use the ingame forum, it limits me on what i can say in a single post, unless i use no spaces "somethinglikethisrightherebutthatwouldbehardtoread" (something like this right here, but that would be hard to read) but i agree, sometimes it would be nice to use os style selection of text, maybe a hot key that could allow it, since it's not the normal use of mouse in game, or when over the webig box a more os like mouse is used for that ingame window.

Other games - they give you a cookie whether you succeed or not, in fact you don't even have to participate. Ryzom takes your cookie, eats it in front of you, and slaps you 2 or 3 times for bringing a cookie in the first place.

try using shift and/or ctrl in combination with the arrow keys while in writing mode.
I think ctrl + <- and ctrl + -> move the cursor and with shift + -> and shift + <- it selects the text in cursor direction letter by letter (or was it the other way around?)

Still you can only select, cut and paste information that you have NOT already sent, not information that someone else sent to the chatbox, nor your words after they are sent.

Given that the ingame chatboxes are not word-processors, but images once the words are sent I'm not sure this is feasible, but it would sure as heck be nice. In the forums, I strongly suggest doing composition and posting in your web-browser -- it's much easier.

I always assumed that copy+paste were disabled to stop people copy+pasting large amounts of text in chat. Other places it should be available.

I just noticed that this got implemented now when you quote or reply to a forum post you can select just the text you need and cut it.
