why is it i can only do or have x number of solo missions on my solo list, what if i want to be the first person to take every un-timed mission in the game and then do them all once, then i would know that i did them all if they had no time limit. (messenger missions wouldn't work because you have to pick up an item from the guy, and there's a limit to what a players bag can hold, same with packers, though i think a higher limit on bulk and slots for apt's and gh's and gh's more then anything.)

I would expect that the reason there is a limit on the number of Missions (not just Solo Missions -- all missions) is one of server load and communication load.  If you have active missions the server has to check after each action whether that action triggered a mission step (either progress or completion). It then has to send a message to your client to update the mission in question.  (Given that the number is 15, I suspect storage of the number of missions in a one byte variable.)  The more missions the more searching.

I would additionally see this as not a positive thing due to the fact that it's hard enough keeping track of 15 missions. Thirty would be near impossible (at least for me).

In addition, having a limit to the number of missions acts to slow down "dragging" of fame for newbs, which I don't think is a bad thing at all. :)

All effort should be put into making the sand in the desert white, Until the sand is white no effort should be made on any other aspect of the game.

Bittty -

Why wouldn't the mission completion check be client-side? Risk of cheating? (ie client reports mission is done, when in fact it wasn't)

I'm always hitting the limit when doing mission runs and I usually only take the exploration and fight bandit missions + a few fight animal ones.
When doing that in a single region the limit is a bit too low (3 missions are missing most of the time)

So in my case 5-10 more would be enough ;-)

@Bitty:
Why 1 Byte? 1 Byte = 8bit = 256 possibilities (Numbers 0-255)
Maybe you meant 4bit? (would be 0-15 or a single digit hex)

your thinking like me now jarnys, i'm wanting to be able to get the bandit missions for a section of the tree (lakes, desert, forest, jungle) all at one time, as well as hunting missions with them, then make a big long trek from one end to the other to do them

@bitty, it's not something that would affect anyone that doesn't want to do more then x number of missions, so it's the players choice to pick missions and do them. and for the fame part, i'm a not civ aligned so i'm at the cap for fame anyway, to address "pulling" they still have to do the treking or tp'ing to get the missions and most new players want to learn where things are and what it takes to do them, so basically your saying that new players are lazy and will let higher players do the work, which i get a laugh at, i do the missions with new players, and they are right with me healing me with "heal 3" while i nuke with a skill way above them, they don't say i'm too week to help, they tag along and try. so let's try not to make excuses for the company to never have to do anything, are you on the pay roll, because you don't seam to every support anything that's just an option unless it serves you. you are well versed in the game and i do enjoy to learn from you, but you only seam to look at the dark side of everything, glass have empty kinda person, hurts my feelings when i support any optional idea that's not forced because though i don't agree with it or won't use it, someone else will. please don't troll my posts if all your going to do is be negitive or make some excuse for the company.

@roll, lmao, cause i get what ur saying lolx.

@mj, i'm with you on that, but at least an increase of say double, that would allow me to take all the missions i want in the 50, 100, 150, 200 level caped zones at one time and then do my huge run, and by the time i finish the last of them i could start over if i wanted, though the last few would still be on cool down.
