Before anything else, check that you are using the very latest version of the client available through the Apple store.

You may encounter some difficulties related to certain set-ups.
There are two scenarios:
      • You've already played on Ryzom and you cannot access the game anymore:
  • Open a Terminal (Applications>Utilities>Terminal) and run the following command:
rm "$HOME/Library/Application Support/Ryzom/client.cfg"
  • Enter your adminstrator password.
These commands erase your configuration file, and you can then restart your client with the default set-up (you will lose your preferences).

Now you'll have to be careful when changing your configuration so as not to create the same problem that you had in the first place. If that happens, just re-do the steps above to reset your configuration.
      • You've just installed Ryzom and you've never launched the game on this computer:
  • Open a Terminal (Applications>Utilities>Terminal) and search for the client.cfg file which should be located under:
OS 10.9.1 or earlier
"$HOME/Library/Application Support/Ryzom/client.cfg"
OS 10.9.2 or later
"Users/*username*/Library/Containers/com.winchgate.Ryzom/Dat a/Libr ary/Application Support/Ryzom/client.cfg"

If the search isn't successful, you'll need enable the display of hidden folders/files by running the command:
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles 1
Make sure to launch an advanced search in order to show all the files (hidden and system included).
  • Once you've found the client.cfg file, edit it and add (or modify) the lines:
SoundOn = 0;
MicroVeget = 0;
FullScreen = 0;

If your problem isn't solved after this, please contact us by sending an e-mail to support@ryzom.com, and append to your e-mail the crash report file, client.log, which can be found in the folder: $HOME/Library/Application Support/Ryzom/

Thanks Kemen. Per another thread I was advised to turn off sound to avoid crashes and while this does drastically reduce crashing it is very much a shame that I can not play the game with sound on or I have to constantly toggle it on/off. The crashing only occurs when teleporting and only when teleporting between regions with the sound enabled. I really hope someday this can be fixed. Since it is easily reproducable it seems like an easy bug to track down. If there is anything I can do to be helpful, provide logs, test, etc. Please dont hesitate to ask.

For Mac users with Mavericks (OS 10.9.2) I would point out that the client.cfg file is now in a different place:

Users/*username*/Library/Containers/com.winchgate.Ryzom/Data/Libr ary/Application Support/Ryzom/
