As many of us know from before the merge there was a thing called "RP tags" or "Role Play tags" in which we were able to see if someone was pro or anti in a specific fame group. This allowed us to see who we should or should not help when PvP Tagged as well as who you do and do not want to kill. This was very assistive and helped for those who did not know what faction a certain guild or person sided with. I propose that we reinstate the RP Tags so we can see who is who in PvP.

When the old tags got replaced it was officially stated that something like that would be planned soon(tm). Those should have been selectable RP-Tags. But i guess that idea got replaced by fame titles. Or maybe they will add tags just like fame titles (with a different selection)? would be nice!

You know what's intrusive? Seeing someone's health/sap/stamina/focus if you elect to do so. Like .. you're just walking by, and can see how's it going for them. How?! Why? Not that it matters, but I was unpleasantly surprised by the option. Fine, see their hp since you can also see it for mobs, but otherwise, I fail to see how the others are public.

Fame *is* by definition public. If you have a good fame with a certain nation, it's only conceivable that you're ... famous (duh). In other words, fame might as well be displayed always, for everyone, since being famous carries a certain expectation of your life being subject to public scrutiny. How can you be an "esteemed tryker citizen" without actual people having esteem for you?

Esteem is earned by actions, not by tags that any new person can win with a few missions and some dappers. Our village is small enough that this truism still works. I know Luth and Fey-lin and Zhoi, and Daomei by their interactions with me and with others (and by their writings nailed to the public stations),

As for hp, stam, sap -- if you grant that I can see that you're tired or wounded, or sense how drained of magical energy you are, then the bars make sense. I've never figured out how I might sense your focus, so I don't display that one.

I will modify my codicil, however. Make the tags be optional in the same way that hp and guild name display are, and I'll be satisfied.

They are already in the game and have an option like that.

They exist, but players can't get/set them.

I have to admit that it has been so long since I set my preferences that I was unaware of that option. Good to know once they have been restored to those who want them. I suppose that is a good argument for re-configuring your interface every once in a while. :)
