what sort of literature would you be most interested in collecting?

i prefer more personal info as opposed to lore pages such as homin poems that originate from the lore or homin experiences/stories bios. i know many will like recipes , sure i do too but besides that

what else?

i'm going to manually nag anyone on my friends list to post here so please assist :)

Hmmm, what do you mean?
An in game ryzom wikipedia-like library? With 1 yubo point for each highly-rated article as prize?

With some good editors that may work. :-)

Have fun,
Nuno

what would YOU personally be interested in collecting, or see as a high rated article (or rather, short note, not necessarily long articles)

this is a fairly tricky question really... simply becuase it has such a vast spectrum of possiblities. off the top of my head, with regards to what literature i would like to collect, i would say that short stories would be in the top portion of my list - short stories of specific nature though - not rambling monologues with seemingly no end but short stories with a beginning, middle and end. something like "do the karavan dream of electric sheep?" or "raiders of the lost mektoub park" or "great yubos of the apocolypse".

another thing that would be up there on my list would be music.. i know that it's not possible to put music on here but it is possible to write down lyrics.. would come under poetry as well i suppose. like in LOTR where there are those pages of folk songs that everyone skips... where there's a will there's a way and all that jazz.

My personal library would contain all the amber cubes (Forum references) he could find about astronomy and natural history.

There once was an illustrated guide to the Flora of Atys done by a Matis biologist. I don't know if it was ever finished.

By the way, I am working on a collection of my "Digging Songs of the Tryker", but it will be a while before it is finished.

Not sure. Quality articles would always be appreciated, from humor to technical details. The hard part would be finding them, so... Rating system built-in and at least a good editor would be required.

Have fun,

I'm a lover of fiction (pretty much anything lore related or even stretched farther to the 'homin imagination'). Personally I wouldn't be too interested in reading anything too scientific or factual. I just don't prefer to spend my time reading that stuff. As it is I try to limit what I read on the forums as I feel it takes my time away.

Poems and music would be cool too. Haha I remember I once wrote ryzom versions of some christmas carols and wrote a poem or something to try and become Stevano's wife (haha good times...I shoulda won).

I've actually tried to write a few pieces. What happens though is I get writers block or I get too busy to finish it then feel lost when I finally do get time. I've also had a number of ideas (which are few and far between) I just lack motivation to write it. I've also written a bio for myself (though maybe a bit out there for some people) which again I've failed to finish lol.

A bit of everything... including food reciepe, some fiction, technical books (theoretical magic, "how to build your own outpost extractor", "Illustrated kitin anatomy" and such). You need some poetry, of course, but not too much:P

A wide array is always pretty winning:P

The collected works of both Bravichi and Almati - most copies were, I guess, burned during the reign of Jinovitch. And my own biography of Nung Horongi, if I ever come around to finish it. ;)

Reference:
The knowledge contained in the Amber Cubes would only be the start. The writings of the ancients should be collected (where possible) and included for the instruction and enlightenment of all.

History:
Many dark periods of Homin history (not least that of the Matis) are sadly unknown to many Homins. If we remain ignorant of the mistakes of the past we are doomed to repeat them. The history of all Homin civilizations should be available to all for study.

Fiction:
Many great writers of fiction have appeared in this forum and these writings should be collected.

Recipe Books:
Not craft recipes, which are and should perhaps remain essentially private. I am referring to food and drink recipes. A Tryker friend on mine still regrets misplacing her grandmother's recipe for Stinga Rum which surpassed all others and is legendary amongst the family.

Having said that if anyone has a craft recipe for Goo Waders I for one would be interested.
