Ive tried to install it using the download center version, and it gets stuck in patching after half the download. tried to install using the sourceforge version and i get a "non trusted launcher" message.

hope to get a quick solutions

Without knowing that much about Ubuntu -- can't you install the program as administrator to get past the non-trusted launcher thing?

i tried it again and worked, but it crashes constantly and i run in an older client version that i cant patch, so i kinda need the software center version, hope to fix the issue before having to install windows (i can even get past the fact that id probably miss some graphics)

You could try installing the generic linux client from here:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/ryzom/files/ryzom_client.7z/down load

Then to update it just execute ryzom_update.sh .

I have been compiling clients for use under Ubuntu and Fedora for a few years. Under Ubuntu, up to the latest releases, the instructions at http://dev.ryzom.com/projects/ryzom/wiki/BuildForLinuxCmake work well. The only place where it gets a little interesting is downloading http://hg.kervala.net/packaging/file and compiling libwww and libsquish.

The compiled client works perfectly though and I would recommend it over the one from the download centre, or any other generic one.

thanks for all your input, i solved the problem... not quite sure how it worked but after i reinstalled ubuntu, formatted the prior windows7/ubuntu dual boot i had and repartitioned the HHDD the game downloaded in 17mins from the download center installer and is working really smooth
