The shard shutdown announcements should be made in all three major languages (and as many minor ones as possible)  In addition,  it would be nice if an ETA for reboot could be posted as well.  (I know that the regular ones usually only last 15 minutes or less, but a lot of people don't).

i'm with you on this bitty, knowing when would be nice, and a "how long till server back up" on the ryzom home page would be nice for those longer then normal shutdowns.

Other games - they give you a cookie whether you succeed or not, in fact you don't even have to participate. Ryzom takes your cookie, eats it in front of you, and slaps you 2 or 3 times for bringing a cookie in the first place.
