I'm trying to find the cause of this.

short version: achievements are not counted on char save.

long version: TBD

karu, the way cotare explained it to me, the triggers for these are checked based on the last position of your toon at the time of a save, as that's the only way (he said at that time, things could be different now) that a location can be verified, however, i've gotten all but one broken OP in nexus to trigger now after hours of moving a little, sadly i'm now only one broken OP away from another 10 points.

dino, i would go afk but this is 1) a forced pvp zone, and someone would take advantage regardless of afk tag or not. and 2) is close enough to a boss spawn point that it could be considered camping, regardless of the fact that i spend hours and sometimes days afk, and prefer to hunt my prey via treking around.

it's very late for me at this point, i've not slept in about 20 hours, so i'm going to trek to the nearest tp and wait it out till i wake back up, then i'll continue to try for the last broken op in nexus, then move back to the player owned op's for a third attempt to get the last of those i need done. (outside of forest that is, that will be the last one i do, that place is hell on atys)

ok, waited in blackburn trade post for the time it took me to re-read the entire 193 post's on this topic, 7 saves later and still no trigger. (closest you can get to marker on map is 1m)

also was looking over all the different achievements, the "that's mine now" is impossible to complete, there are NO known items on the server that are of this Q, i've asked many players time and time again, since merger nothing like that has been offered other then sap crystals (which should count IF there are points given for the achievement), i'd like to suggest that this achievement be moved to heroic deeds, unless there's some secret that everyone's withholding about a special craft skill, or special secret boss that only the csr's can kill i'd like to see this counted as a "heroic deed" with no yubo points.

also, please post an update as to when the OP and broken OP triggers are fixed, after the last few days getting any triggers even after countless saves is getting no where (i did get a few to trigger, but only after getting my compass to say i was 0 m (zero meters) away from the marker on the map)

collecting yubo points is a nice brake from the normal day to day play (fame runs, grinding skills, hunting)

following this post i'll start to use both this forum post, and file tickets (perhaps the csr's will do as cortare did in the past and just trigger them if they can be proven, which a csr can do on the spot, they can tp to you, see where you are, and trigger, problem solved for the player in question on the spot.) (I also plan to provide screen shot's at each of these locations in question, where you can clearly ready my system info tab that will say "you have entered xxxx" and then followed by a "talkirc has been saved." at which point i would like the trigger done, i'm getting a little bored with having to do the same thing over and over with NO reward yet.)

after all, exploration is one of the easy yubo points to collect, unless your collecting them in forest or a few spots in lakes, lolx.

anyway, i'll just throw in the towel here at blackburn trade post (after typing all this i'm up to 9 saves and still no trigger, after proofreading and then adding more)

also, it would be nice to see the DP achievement come back, (i never did understand how it was not working correctly, as it was one of the few i thought was right every time)

(another save just done..... still NO trigger {that's 80 minutes in one spot this is absurdly long time for something to trigger})

EDIT: woodburn magic pole triggers on the first save. woodburn stronghold triggered on first save this time as well. with the luck of those two triggering on the first try, i went back to blackburn trade post and on the first save it triggered.

whirling stronghold, 3 saves this time around, still no trigger.

i honestly believe that a button added to the achievements that would do a forced check of the current x and y location of the players toon would fix this issue, if it's not the save's that are checked, as cotare explained to me in the past, then it's a random thing, that should a) be documented exactly how often it's checked. or b) have the button option (with a 60 second cool-down if someone's afriad that button would crash the server) this current system is very flawed it seams, because it will work for one player, but not another, sometimes wasting hours waiting for a single trigger isn't an option, i don't want to stand in a dangerous place for hours waiting because i have to watch the screen the whole time to ensure i don't get aggro dragged or killed by another player because i'm in a forced pvp zone.

btw, there's been 5 more saves on this return trip to whirling stronghold, still no trigger.

Talkirc, ignore achievements for now. It needs server side change that I can't do, so hopefully it can be fixed next week.

whoops didn't see that, i still had the edit window open for whirling, will do karu, sorry if i seam like a pita, it was just my "get away" from the grinds to do a little point collecting for exploring again :)

let me know when things are fixed or working again, and i'll be happy to test it out.

Haven't been in this thread in while since I completed the explorations (well other than Silan where I can't go) ..... but I'd note ...

1. They all were working at one time. I had lotta trigger problems with the initial set of destinations but don't recall any w/ the OP ones ..... reason I mention the fact that they all worked at one point shud make cause easiert to track down.


2. All destinations, both places and OPs, I think are easy enough for a skilled player, w/ at least 1 master, to reach, wait and grab .... Other than boredom, the only real challenge for is the NW GoC ones (the Groves maze).... those I did in team w/ 2-3 others.....all the other destinations did solo in grind LA.

3. The wait actually helps in one sense ... I don't too often go charging off into the darkness before my aura's have regenned :)

thanks karu, all of the one's i've tried in lakes have worked on the first save, was nice to finish off all of lakes in one setting (currently waiting for last save at last of the broken op's right now as i type this up)

Having 80 fame for the recoverors tribe does not register as an achievement.

What does that mean?

~Rowwena, I found if you stay in the spot 8 min or so until it 'saves' then re-check, it will trigger. If not, then stay another 8 min and see then, but don't leave the areas!
