And so i thought .... here's my logic.

1. I'm told that apartment Furniture / Decorations are not active post merge so therefore we have nothing.

2. We are warned that id we buy a new apartment, we will lose all the contents, furniture, decorations.

3. Well .... f we had nothing post merge what could we possibly be worried about losing unless something is carried over from pre-merge

You are right, freddy, devs clearly stated that they couldn't be sure, but would have tried to preserve all decorations and furniture from pre-merge. A half-promise, essentially.

Personally I'm just interested in the storage, but I can understand people that wanna save old furniture.

I'm not upset at all over overseer missions. I think they serve their purpose. My point is that there is no alternative. Ya oughta be able to "make a living" in other ways besides:

1. Go to Location A and take missions 1,2,3
2. Go to Location B and take missions 4,5,6
... and so on, repeating the same tasks in the same order because its most efficient.

Digging and Crafting for example, one can choose 5 different regions, choose difficulty levels to suit your varying skills, can easily find different groups to team with, not to mention increase your skill points in a noticeable way that "craft 7 vests" doesn't do.

To my mind, the overseer missions are a "kludge" ... a work around that I guess is intended as a temporary alternative until devs get a sense of how things settle out. For non diggers / crafters I imagine changing or cycling tribe based missions where ya have story based reason to go out and kill "x" number of bandits / mobs / nameds.

The furniture will all come back easily enough but the event based stuff has some nice memories associated therewith.

Just bought a GH in Hoi-Cho. After paying, you cant get in trough elevator as said above. when contacting a CSR they confirmed its a known issue (quote "ok, it sems we have a few cases of this, provided you have done all thats correct, as in bought from guild caretaker, then accesing via elevator and not touching the terminal")

So best wait with buying a new GH untill ticket is resolved. Will keep you updated, since WG wont.

just simply walk straight in and it instantaneously takes right away to the correct places...no menu or anything like that ^_^

Update, Devs got it working. seems to be a case by case thing.

(I am still wondering if those who told tales at the Anlor Winn will recieve a title in regards to that, if I am not misstaken it was mentioned during the event. I may of course have misunderstood. But would not mind a bard/taleteller related title if so were the case :) )

If they give you a title, they will just take it away later.

I think that by the time you will get it, then it will be for the nest Anlor Winn and it will have already expired by then, lol :P

can the devs give us any eta on when the harvesting will be fixed?

can the devs tell us if the random math (degrades, wear outs, dodge chances, tool chances and so on) was changed intentionally or need also a fix?

can the devs tell us when the rites rewards will be fixed?

Not going to ask why events should break occupations, but can the devs tell us if they consider gameplay higher priority than events?

In other words: can the devs tell us when they decide to fix the game, totally broken post merge?

Agreed Gilga, harvesting is very broken.

-Very frustrating to sit on known exe spot and prospect for Sup and choice, it says "different class". Prospect for exe, says "not in area". Huh ... well if it's not choice, not sup and exe not in area then what in the dragon is it ?

-Very frustrating to sit and wait for weather in a non PvP area, work your way over between the Vorax, Jugs and Kincher and then pop that supreme mat you been waiting for only to repeatedly be run over by aggro trains from tagged players who can't get enough of their PvP fun in the PvP areas. After 4th time, I logged out with 5X DP.

-Very frustrating to wait for a OP mat and have the tool degrade.... every time.

-Very frustrating to finally get that mat after a 2 month wait and not be able to complete one set of boosted jewels with it before it wears out. More frustrating that others have made 10 sets and their tool is at 50% HP.

-Very frustrating that as an pre-merge player, I can't get the durability bonus on that boosted jewel set that it took me 2 OP mats and 6000 mats to make..

-Very frustrating working to redo all 8 occupations AGAIN and working hard to keep them at the same level so I can advance in unison only to have some of the occupation npc's inactive because of an event.

-Very frustrating to find that unless I am on at the same time as guild mates or friends, I can oft not do anything in Ryzom since solo digging has become vastly more difficult. Because each and every mat is now being spread out between separate choice. exe and sup locations, many are just about impossible to dig w/o guards to help. I enjoy challenging, I enjoy hard. I am discouraged by impossible. Many exe spots are camped by no less than 3 spawns of aggro ..... not "near" ..... but directly on top of nodes.

-Very frustrating sitting one spot for three consecutive nights waiting for nite time only to find it rain every nite spoiling the entire time window.

-Very frustrating to wait, wait, wait, wait for the silly ring terminal thing to get me into GH.

Any one or two of these things in and of itself would be a minor annoyance, but combined, so that every which way ya turn you hit a brick wall is very frustrating.

Oh forgot one thing, since the latest mini-patch, leaving game via character selection is an automatic crash.

I have no quarrel with for any of the Weather/Harvesting (because I know it well enough now) and I highly recommend that you go back to Silan for the Buo Fiber Missions - it is there that I learned just one of so many many ways to pop a mat spot that others will call "impossible" or maybe just not there even like you said (but there are lots of other ways too, that is just the very first way that I did it form)

okay so it has been brought to my attentions that my post can maybe offensive - but I do not intend onto offend for anybody and am really very sorry if it did

show me something that you cannot be popped for and I will pop it for you (I can pop everything even if I cannot do digging for it yet)
I do not believe in unpoppable or socalled "overlap" (and whenever have been shown one and then I popped it)
I much prefer to teach this skill in Silan only because thet Buo Fiber missions is the best and perfect way (and just how I learned from it) so it very easy

and it's not like the aggro is camping all of the Sups and Xs of the PRs and if have for enough patience can will usually move away from eventually

Your post is, in effect, offensive, because you are treating us as stupid.

We are not stupid and we deeply know the game as it was pre-merge.

It seems you know nothing about harvesting in PR, so what's the point to speak about Silan?

You really can't teach us anything about how to pop a source.

Go dig in Wasteland and Under Spring please, before speaking about harvesting.

Can't believe we are here since 2004 and someone answers speaking of buo fiber in Silan!
