When we look at the mission log, we do not know first hand if it is a fighting mission, a magic mission, crafting one or even a harvest one. Have the icon on the left of the mission title changed to a matching skill icon. So just by looking at the icon, we would know which kind it is.

Errr what?    The kind of mission was visible when you took it.  It also ought to be pretty clear by the next action that is in the list of actions for the mission.  While this might be mildly useful, I can't see it as a high priority.

There is a colour coding which gives some idea; Red for Hunting / Fighting Missions, Blue for Crafting Missions, Green for Exploration Missions.

I agree with Mainframe's idea. Having 15 missions from 3 corporals (or other officials) make it sort of difficult to remember what you have to do and where. Color coding by (kill | recon | deliver | craft | bring-back-supplies | other-option ) would make things a bit easier.
