Dear Ryzom CSR's,

I have unsubscribed for reasons which have been communicated previously to you, but now I cant access my account, is my account too old for F2P?

I am an old character who played from 2005- 2008, on and off due to RL commitments. I dropped out of contact with Ryzom but I always wished to have time to return to it . I received no email regarding the character wipe, as soon as I heard about it through some blogs I resubscribed but alas my character was gone.

I have contacted your customer service and to be frank I am disappointed with how you dealt with my requests and queries, with the exception of my dealings with Tiximei whom was courteous and professional at all times.

I no longer have enough play time to justify resubscribing if I will be using this limited playtime to level up skills previously mastered eg. Jewelry.

We know the capability is there to restore the characters and I have offered to pay a reasonable fee for such. My request was denied as I have not played in 3 years. This I believe is ludicrous as Ryzom needs paying players to survive. The merge was done to save costs and the added benefit is the return of many old players. You are missing a revenue generating opportunity by not offering restoration of characters to those that have no time/desire to level up their old skills.

Since you have not responded to my last email I kindly ask that if your position on this changes that you please broadcast it or let me know by email as I will gladly resubscribe .

Once an account has been paid for it cannot be used as a F2P trial account.  That has been in effect since the F2P trial was introduced.

However, if you are offering to re-subscribe in order to take up the game again as many of us did, with our skills intact but just 10,000 dappers and a few supplies, then I agree that the people at Winchgate should seriously consider the matter for the reasons you state.

If you are asking for a complete restoration of your character with gear and all... not so much.  None of us present at the merger got that.

Thank you for your reply Bittty , I was unaware of that so thanks. I will have to set up an alt account and hope that they do address this. I understand that all you kept were skills intact and that is all im looking for, Heck I wouldnt mind if they just restored my skills in Harvesting and Crafting to be honest. .I dont mind levelling up the others as that is usually done whilst interacting with guildies. I just cant find the time or inclination to level up 6 branches of Jewelry again!

I'm sure they will see the light on this.

Did you ever have success getting restored? I have 3 accounts I am looking for help restoring.

If you send an email to support-ee@ryzom.com after you set up paid accounts I understand that several homins have had good luck in getting restored.
