Do you think 2x XP is good for the game?

Very hessitant to make a poll, since numbers are exactly what someone with very little imagination would want, but I sincerely think that all players here, given the right amount of information beforehand, want to simply enjoy the game.

We don't even know yet what they mean by "2x XP". Whenever they talk about it, they say that p2p gets twice the XP of f2p. That does in no way mean that p2p will get twice the XP we currently get. It could just as well mean that f2p will get half the XP we get now and that for p2p, nothing will change.

Been confirmed on uni by a csr that it's 6k and also in the event team q&a last night.
Alot of ppl where on 6k before with cats so I don't see it as breaking the gameplay

I don't see a problem with it as such, especially as it is further incentive to subscribe to the game .

In a way , i feel it is better than having a cash shop selling XP increase tokens etc , as a standard sub gives a more steady income .
Plus i owuld really hate ot see an ingame cash shop in Ryzom , it just wouldn't feel right .

From a P2P perspective, I'm totally in favour of that change, because hey, more XP for me. From a moralizer perspective, I am against that change because trying to push F2P into paying so they can keep up with us is unfair. And from a business perspective, it's one of the few ways WG can try to get F2P to pay, so it's a legit decision. After all, F2P was never meant to be "Hey, play our game forever for free", but a way to get more new paying customers.

And nobody complained when OPs produced so many cats that everybody was on them all day long, anyway.

Maybe keep 1X xp on Silan, since there were never cats there anyway. P2P'ers get 2X xp on mainland.

2X xp on Silan could lead to too many "uber" toons on Silan. Especially if there's going to be an influx of q100 and q200 generic mats to Silan. This could be a problem.

OP mats will be useless??? Try again? Why useless? Flowers will be the same as they ever were, good for occasional use, but not worth the hassle for most things. OP mats will be what they always were: rubbarn and armilo for boosting, greslin and egiros for digging and the others for high grade weaps and armor.
