as eveyone knows
Ryzom is really a good game i played it for months as a F2P and i never got bored cuz there're really loads of things to do and does not matter if you're F2P or P2P .


but developers decided that P2P's will keep their levels and F2P start over from level 1
losing months of hard working !!!!
that would seem good and most of players will be happy but be sure there is a huge part that feel really bad/sad .


devs do you think that a basic/start pack would be a nice thing to give as a reword ?
i do not think so that 10k deppers and some newbie stuff would be enough to make play again :((
so in case you can not save F2P's levels please think to motivate them by giving a good/nice stuff like marauder armors q100,150 ...


as a conslusion please do not push F2P's to leave this lovely game.

Just buy a one month period and you will keep all your levels...
Ryzom has financial difficulties, if you likes the game, it's the perfect moment to show it buy a little donation !

i can not do it in these 10 days otherwiser i love play as a F2P

Ryzom isnt meant as F2P ..it has just a unlimited trial at one point someone should be able to decide if they like the game that much so they pay for it.

Also i don't think getting a new toon to lvl 125 (F2P max) is that hard to achieve on new server ..

but what if i love the game and i can not pay!!!
it's hard to get to 125 in all skills took months or even years

I am sorry for saying this, but those of you who are free to play and request stuff from the devs: you are just rude.

The thing is, they are a company that sell a product in order to make money. They sell us the right to play ryzom, and since we pay we get rights to demand a useable product. However, when you are free to play you are using up bandwith, storage space on servers etc without giving ANYTHING back. I know that it might feel like you are keeping the servers alive with your presence, and as a player I really appreciate having more people to play with. From Winchgates point of view though, you are just taking up space.

There are other games that are free which have itemshops, ads etc, and these all get money from other sources. Ryzom however, is not free to play, as has been mentioned. You are all here on a trial, which means you'll get a chance to test out the game before you buy it. The fact that this trial is not limited by time does not make the game free to play, even if Winchgate has hinted in that direction in various ads. A stupid mistake on their part, I must admit, but that does not make the game free to play.

So please, stay, but do not make demands that are quite costly when you aren't bringing any money in yourselves. I want to have you left in the game, I like playing with you, but understand how the company behind ryzom is very tight for cash at the moment, and is forced to cut costs wherever possible. It's better this way than removing the unlimited free trial, which also could have been an option.

As far as I know, they aren't changing anything about how F2P works. You're still welcome to play within the confines of the F2P limitations.

Sames rules for all: want to keep your levels? Either 1) pay for them, or 2) get a starter pack from an event before the end of the month.

we appreciate that ryzom needs money to stay alive so if levels must be lost
at least motivate F2P's to play again this lovely game by giving some good things...
think basic pact is worthless ( 10k deppers and some stuff)

My bad, I read the announcement kinda fast and thought F2P could keep levels with a starter pack. But that's not the case. Still seems eminently fair to me though. You have the opportunity to get yourself a bundle of gear and rewards for almost no effort, and absolutely no cost. You will not find a better offer than that from a game company.

Yeah, it's really not hard to participate (just participate) in an event and you get to keep your character with a basic package. Okay so you lose levels, but it's better than the entire server starting from scratch. As a new f2p I really haven't increased my levels too much so I'd be okay with that. I really didn't want to lose the "identity" of my character though.

Personally this has convinced me to start paying. I realized that I really like this game and community so I should support it. I hope others will be able to do so as well.

i may sound as a troll and unsympathethic to F2P: I've been playing for months now, and so far haven't got the chance to subscribe as i'd like to and want to (already have many skills in lvl 125).

but to be honest i always assumed the f2p condition to be a precarious one, moreso when the first announcement of the merger came, and i understood that my char getting wiped to lvl 1 was THE logical choice WG would take.

I'm sad that ill lose my crafting and harvesting lvls and skills, but ill keep playing the game and I ACCEPT this pressure as a part of WG business plan to keep the game going, as a fair and just solution to a complicated issue.

I will keep playing the game from scratch, and ill keep loving it as ive have (and sub ASAP), perhaps this chance i can make my experience a lot more enjoyable than the first time

I am wondering if a f2p pays for 1 month to get through merger then keeps levels and stops paying for now until they can afford to sub regularly will have their toon saved until then
