The point of this is to reset all gear. Why would they then give everyone special gear just because they're paying? The point of the premium package is to give incentive for people to start from a full wipe (which is what they wanted everyone to do.)

Also, people work very hard for this special gear, and giving it away to every paying account would decrease the rarity and be kind of a slap in the face to those who've completed the content to earn the rewards.

the whole thing has been a slap in the face. giving something that has no actual value to your loyal customers to make them happy seems perfectly reasonable to me.

why are they trying so desperately to get me to zap all my work? crippling me is better for them? huh?? time for my pills i suppose.

Question, what about unallocated skill points? I know we can keep the levels, but do we get to keep the unused skill points? I have 185 harvest skill points I'm saving to spend when I hit level 250 (I'm 221) will they make it though the reset?
I think this is a great compromise btw.

This "Compromise" is not a compromise. This is what WG most likely intended to to do all along. But they knew if they announced a merge where people kept levels but not items the majority of you carebears would be up in arms and protests.

So what does WG do instead> Announce a merge with a total wipe and the when the protests occurs they announce what they were going to do all along and you whiners think it a great plan and they some how got WG to compromise.

What I really hope for is to have some of the bug fixed, like that stupid empty window on top of the character selection screen or the access to the Ring.

Keeping the special titles and unique items would also be nice. A yubo doll or a spoon can't imbalance the game much, right?

Agreed. Although I think they would had wiped if they could had gotten away with it. The genius part though is now they are making money. How? People are subbing their alts.

I want to sub my alt as well but im not sure if I have the stomach for this company anymore.

I left my previous MMO and came to Ryzom because I could no longer stand the corruption of Gameloft. Now the same is happening again. This one seems worse though as this time they are feeding off the loyalty of others.

You cant because once the sub runs out on an account the account gets locked out. So once you sub you trap the account into a payed account forever.

Isnt it amazing how a few days of rants fixed those "technical issues" they were having? Like magic. :)
