The loss of eight years of character progression WILL irrevocably drive me away from this game. I might stick around after a wipe if this was a game where gaining back what I lost could be achieved in a few months, but I simply will not accept starting from scratch in such a drawn out progression system as this.

I will leave my subscription intact for now, but if there is a character wipe, THAT DAY will the final cancellation, with no possibility of EVER re-subscribing.

Yep. Im with you. I will hold out hope till the last minute but as soon as I see my toons deleted I will unsub immediately as well as demand a refund for the year I pre-payed.

If the dappers, items and meks need to go in order to make this revamped economy system work, so be it. But saving at least the skills and occs would go a long way in maintening credibility for both old and potential players.

+1, not because of the wipe, because of the lack of honesty.

I understand and accept the motivation for the server merge and the dappers wipe.
More players online and a finally working economy can only help the game, and less expenses fo Winchgate can only help the game survive.
I'm all for removing cats from the OPs as their introduction had a very bad effect on the play experience.

But: I don't really see a compelling reason for a char wipe.

I think the attachment of all players to their toons has been underestimated.

Also for me, Glo is more than just a toon i play with, he is my alter ego, he has a history and many memories attached to him. Like others, i have a lot of stuff crafted for me by homins no longer in game which i treasure - my Alegra sword, my Chrono amps, my HA Yoshi made for me after we duo-foraged for weeks, the Kitin-Hunter titles that guildies spent days on to present to me as a gift...

I don't think the desired effect of a char-wipe will last long.
When "Cho" was introduced as a new server especially aimed at new players, it took a couple of veterans only a few weeks to get the most important master titles back and dominating the server much more one-sided than Ari ever was.


With a starter pack, i can re-create a new toon named Glo, but i can't get Glo back.

+1 will never return if chars are wiped, same with my son RedSlayer. the time and years building our chars as said they are not just toons. ryzom was first mmo and always home, friends memories and a comfort.

still, I like to politely ask any of you: if there is any acceptable proposal other than the wipe of all skills and stats, kindly rethink your decision.
