Fyrosfreddy. Though much younger than you and holding only 18 masters (all ecos among them), I understand your pain and frustration.

No excitement in doing the same thing a second time, no sense of accomplishment.

But the community on Ari is unique. I don't see the community standard and cooperative way of ife here surviving the merge with servers which have historically been very competitive.

Even tho I dont have a character as advanced as some other players I know that spending a lot of effort and subscription money just to get rerolled to lvl 1 is just plain wrong.

I'm only losing 1/100th as much as many of you, though sharing the pain of losing regular contact with friends. This all just seems so very very much an extremely poorly thought out plan.

How do you say 'Need a rez at <insert location>' in four or five different languages when you only read and write one?

How to cut and paste from and to chat box and use google translate through the in game browser to figure out what the guy or gal next to you just said?

And of course, how, without the help of higher level characters does a poor newbie fool like me who starts out in Yrk ever get trekked anywhere?

I don't see the point in playing these next two weeks, and well don't have much hope at all for the new server. Only 'good' thing is I was just about to resubscribe when the news hit so at least I won't lose money now.

The loss of eight years of character progression WILL irrevocably drive me away from this game. I might stick around after a wipe if this was a game where gaining back what I lost could be achieved in a few months, but I simply will not accept starting from scratch in such a drawn out progression system as this.

I will leave my subscription intact for now, but if there is a character wipe, THAT DAY will the final cancellation, with no possibility of EVER re-subscribing.

Yep. Im with you. I will hold out hope till the last minute but as soon as I see my toons deleted I will unsub immediately as well as demand a refund for the year I pre-payed.
