Hoooooly crap... (O_O)

Ok, first things first, this game is awesome. By the time I hit my free level cap I should be able to pay for a year sub.

I have 2 characters I'm developing at present, and my main character died fighting a bodoc.

Lame, I know.

Anyway, I did a quick respawn instead of waiting 4 minutes to respawn.

I had a DP which is gone, but there is also a flag that says this...

Faction PvP
You are PvP Tagged and have recently performed a PvP offensive action. You have been PvP Tagged and as a result are not able to perform all PvE Interactions with other players. eg: You cannot group with players from the opposite faction.

I haven't even started joining groups yet, but this just kills me.

Is there anyway I can speed this up... or remove it by doing something.

That's a bit long for a penalty wouldn't you think?

What did I do that caused such a massive flag to pop up on me?

It's a bug. Normally, dying has nothing to do with PvP tagging, and PvP tagging is a purely optional thing (and doesn't last that long). But this is a known bug. I don't know the solution right now, but it can be found in the forums (and someone else will probably mention it here, too.)

You are likely running on a Mac. You need to search the forum for Mac Binaries and then follow the dirctions on that page to manually update your client to 1.13.

Noooo I'm actually running the linux client. There is a .XML script i got that fixes it when it happens. I AM running the 1.10 client however. I'll run the update script incuded with the binary and maybe that will keep it from happening. Thanks guys! All your feedback was helpfull!
