IDEAS FOR RYZOM

The Rybambel system allows players to send apartment items to other players. It also generates random presents for randomly selected players.

Also generated are a lot of packages that are just filler and go to no homin.

All the packages are sent to random apartment caretakers in all lands, and sit there until a player decides to do a pickup and a delivery.

There are at present no rewards for doing deliveries. There is a lot of time involved and teleporter expense that is not compensated for.

I think delivery personel should at least get a bonus present every 200 deliveries. With this encouragement maybe more players will do the deliveries and the system won't be as backlogged as it is now.

If implemented, rewards for past deliveries would be nice :)

I'd be a lot happier with the Rybambel deliveries if they weren't all just tschotskes. Delivery costs, however, are truly minimal, but ought to be reimbursed. 20K dappers for a delivery isn't much extra cash into a game where the cash economy is non-existent anyway.

Well, it would be very difficult to reimburse daps for the tp expense. You have a lot of filler deliveries that you just hand back to the npc with out going anywhere.

The reward proposal is mostly to give an incentive to homins to do deliveries. The more that participate, the more presents that get delivered and delivered faster. Some gifts to friends may take a month to get there because of the few deliveries being done and all the filler in the system.

The miniature items do not have to be on the the floor , you can adjust the height and decorate your walls :) Another server had an apartment decorating contest a while back. So these items can be more than just a collection :)

Actually, the deliveries are backed up even further than that. Christmas trees are just now being delivered. :\

I got snow delivered ~2 weeks ago ;-)

But I used some of the amphoras as beaverage containers on the table and lighted the (always out) light on the table with a mini camp-fire...

And I like the idea of getting something for the deliveries - even if it's not for every delivery..
how about this?
1st : Title "postman"
10th : some hay for the mektoub (maybe people will start using it again the way it's supposed to be)
25th : superb all-round materials (mud or whatever it's called, the right amount for one specific kind of cloth - maybe a HQ light) with a note by the caretaker "Get yourself some new light clothes - yours are worn out terribly"
50th : some (10?) speed eggs with the comment "You're getting slow, are you worn out? Here take these, maybe they'll help"
100th : a package to be delivered to the own home (one of the random items)
250th : ...
500th : a plush yubo
1000th : the title "mail traveler"

or maybe random ones from a list (except the titles)

Put the plush yubo on the line, and I guarantee you'll see deliveries increase!!!
