Referrals

I am proposing the option of referrals to try to bring more people to ryzom

It would work in this way

When a new player signs up to the game there should be the following option:

How did you find this game?

With scroll down option and clicking:

1) referred by someone

Or other options

Next bit

Please tell us the character name of the person who referred you:

Example: Bennusilme

Please tell us what server they play on:

Example: Arispotle

Then the rest of the registration is done

but this information is sent to the server so when 1 month or more of game time is purchased the person who referred them is given for example 10 days free game time, a in game title or in game item for bringing a customer to the game who has then paid money to winchgate which then funds the development of ryzom.

Other games do this very successfully and increase their sales and retention of customers so why cant ryzom if someone pays for 1 month of ryzom they are then more likely to carry on paying for a longer

Make the payoff to be 10 free skill points in harvesting and I'll be one busy beaver of a recruiter.

This wouldn't really be much of an incentive for older players because most of us have thousands of skill points and no skills to get.
