PvP Timer Tick - TECHNICAL SUPPORT / WEB APPs BUGS

Since recently, ticktimer overflow has hit Arispotle. Players experience PvP Timers elapsing after 13yrs roughly and so on.

To fix that, do the following:
First, access webig by shift-w, then press refresh. With some luck, problems are gone after client restart. This works mostly on Windos OS.

Second: If that failed, download
http://atys.ryzom.com/start/app_patchlet/patchs/fix_negative_tick /player.xml

and place the file in your ryzom/user folder (e.g. /usr/games/ryzom/user or c:\Programs\ryzom\user or so)

After client restart, PvP flag should be ok

If neither of these option work for you then you are out of luck. There is no other way to fix it at current.

Hopefully homins will demonstrate respect and not attack those who seem to have been unfortuenate enough to be stuck with the issue until it can be resolved.

i guess around stables a normal concensus could be pick/tool/nothing in hands = no pvp

Another solution seems to have worked for some people. Attacking someone and then letting the timer that ocurrs after that wear off and then unflagging works without a crazy countdown.

So attack another tagged player
Wait for the 10 minute timer to wear off
Then untag

for PvP players..

Well for one, Monie, a fix is given in the MOTD. For two, it doesn't affect everyone. But maybe you were joking. In case you weren't: As for a FFA server, no thanks. I play without PVP except for (consentual) duels. It would ruin the game for me to be killed even a few times when I'm just going about my business. I know because a couple high level, opposing faction, WoW players decided I needed to die when I was playing a free trial. As most people who know me know, I'm only annoying some of the time.

The fix has worked for some mac os but most comomonly works on windows. I've had reports of macs working as well. Have you tried all three fixes Kushon? Shift+w, the file and engaging in combat then waiting out that new timer?

Those are the only known solutions at the moment but it is believed that once the server reboots/crashes the PvP flags should be fixed though i don't believe anybody has confirmed this plus then we have all the trouble with the merchants etc...

I inquired and heard about several Mac where the patchlet worked. So far, I do not know the usual location of the ryzom directory under Mac OS X. Please find out where it is, check the user directory below, and place the player.xml file there. If it does not help then, I don't know.

I haven't had any luck with the player.xml, but I did stage a mock battle and that fixed my flags, though my timer is still stuck. However, I can be healed and don't show flags. It's all very weird.

Unfortunately player.xml and shift+w/refresh did not work for me (lion user), I still have to try to attack someone though, but from what I heard on the italian channel user with: leopard, snow leopard and lion are all stuck with this issue. If you know someone that fixed this on mac can he please send a message or a line on the forum, many thanks.
