There has not been a roleplay event going along with the storyline in months. I want to know if the event team is still working on keeping these going/creating new ones or not. Personally, I love the roleplay events and hope for them to continue. I feel like Ryzom has been in a bit of a rut lately with practically nothing going on. Perhaps I've missed something but this is just how I feel and frankly its affecting how determined I am to continue getting on. Please let us know about any upcoming plans.

I wouldn't be surprised if alot of the Event Team bolted after the beating they took over the wedding of the prince. Though I felt they acted appropriatly the accusations hurled at them had to hurt morale. I think ppl need to cut them some slack and perhaps rethink flaming unpaid volunteers.Future feedback needs to be nuanced that can show displeasure with the event while keeping in mind that the Event Teams intentions are to provide us with entertainment not to cause a tumult.-Kil

The regular events tend to be put on hold for months at the end of each year as the Event Team needs all it's resources for the Halloween and Christmas events. Always hated that myself, but most people prefer those over the regular events :P

Isn't the Goo creature thing still going on?

The goo mobs disappeared from the game shortly before the new year with no word from anyone.

I do want some of those old server wide events back, like KotD everywhere or maybe just make it q250 zones so boobs can keep playing or some big kittin/marauder atts on city's ...

I've been thinking about something along these lines. Yes, being an event manager is a lot of work, as there is much more that needs to be done behind the scenes that most people never see. And yes, in this case, the event team members are volunteers.

That said, however, when doing something like this, you go into it with full knowledge that it's a lot of work. Cutting corners and then making excuses that there's a lot of work to do just won't suffice. If I volunteered to help an organization in real life and kept making excuses because I didn't have the time to commit to what I promised I would do, they would ask me (politely, I hope) to step down and take care of the things in my life that held my attention. Maybe later, when I had more time, I would be welcomed back into supporting.

Here, we can't do that; we can't ask the events team members to step down and expect it to actually happen. We are stuck with the event team members until they themselves feel like they should step down. Thus, some resentment. It also kills any willingness for others to join in to help.

So, I guess the question is whether or not the events team members have the ability to commit the time necessary to fully flesh out ideas, to do the behind-the-scenes legwork and preparation, to research potential problems (such as mass renaming of players breaking all manner of things), and to put forth quality events with a coherent and engaging story while allowing for the players to feel like they actually matter. Because that's what is needed.

I voted "other". I wasn't a high enough level (or didn't feel like I was) for the first event I heard of (get black LA and spy on someone or other) and others (wedding) I never heard of until after they were over because I only started reading the Event threads recently.
I haven't seen any goo animals around since I heard of it, but I'll be looking (unfortunately not knowing much of the story behind it, or why I should be killing them other than they're infected with goo).

I'd like to participate in RP events.

Seeing we've had a few small stealth-kitin attacks last weekend and I've yet to see them mentioned anywhere on the forums, perhaps the problem isn't that there aren't any events but that players don't inform eachother about events anymore :P

get rid of outposts and pvp and general annoying.... oh oups sorry wrong thread.

Or even write reports about them afterwards. I do try to get RP threads going in the forums and they tend to die out as soon as I stop pushing them (usually because the event seems to have fizzled).

(Memo to self: I need to push the Goo infestation thread, since it appears as if the infected beasts are back.)

I don't really take the kitin events to be roleplay events in a sense because often times the devs/csrs make some raids to give us some fun. That's what I took it as really. I suppose it could possibily be leading to something since they are a bit different than usual.

I only was able to go to one of those amabasador attack but it didn't feel like an event really just a bit of tracking to find them and then killing them quickly with no text or info left behind.
I can imagine all ppl could do really is write down when and where they happend on the forums so we can maybe find a pattern but that's about it.
