I chose other because i listen to music and the game sounds. I have the game sounds higher than music so i can hear every footstep and cricket, and the music is to keep me awake while i dig.

I sometimes play with music if Im not using Ventrilo at the same time. I have had the game muted for years, as I can't stand the yelling and grunting of combat.

Ingame sounds saved my butt from certain DP at least a dozen time... but sometimes, I also listen to music from the ingame MP3 player. Or even some podcasts back when Beau used to record them... good old times...

I only listen to ambient electronic music while playing Ryzom and I keep the volume low so I can hear the animals around me. Predators often signal their approach if you are listening.

Listening to ingame sounds for predators is a must. I just wish kiban footfalls didn't sound like kinchies. I hate getting all het up for a fight only to see a useless kiban:).
