"free2play" announce deleted from news? - English

it's just me or the announce message about the last patch on ryzom (free2play and such) was deleted from the news list?

please someone tell me I'm worrying for nothing and there're some "devs" hanging around -for the better- with the server :X

Indeed it has disappeared, and in several languages, so it doesn't look like a mistake. However, the forum post is still there.

The game is not free 2 play as one would understand with other f2p games. Maybe this lead to misunderstandings, all they did was to change the free trial to a system they had already before. Back then it was limited to level 20 imho and you could stay endless on the noob lands but not come to the mainland. Now they added quite much to a "trial", still one has to pay monthly for the full game.

One can argue if it is free to play or not, but to me free to play is mostly used with item shop based games and the like which is not the case here.

hi ceras, I know the difference but thank you for remarking it again.

If that was the reason to delete the post, an official comment regarding what you said would be enough.

I used "free2play" just as a reference to the post that was deleted anyway :s, I hope they didn't step back on that.

If you mean the "MMORPG News" list on the main ryzom.com page; I don't think the patch announcement was ever there; at least, I never saw it and it's possible I missed it. Did you actually see it there?
