is it me or did the number of mob's in jungle grow 10 times their normal size of group?, or is this a normal seasonal thing? i ask becaue the season's the same today as it was 2 days ago, and now there are so many mob's in CoI that you can't hardly ride a mount anywhere for all the mob's that get in the way.

if it's just me my bad, if every one else is seeing this as well, can we maybe get a csr or someone to tell us what's up?

Heh -- Mysteries of Atys...

Things don't always change at the *beginning* of a season. :)  I'm not sure whether what you are seeing is unusual or not, but you certainly won't get a comment on this from a CSR because if it is part of an event (i.e.*is* unusual) they aren't going to give out spoilers, and if it isn't part of an event (i.e. is normal) they aren't going to give out spoilers.

There was a restart so any half spawns will be full again. Also the amount could have been tweaked i guess

thanks bittty and leagal

and good point about the events, the kitin invasion is over now, so the mob's can move back after fleeing the area prior to the attack, makes sense to me.

It does seem to me that when certain conditions are met (right season and spot, etc), some mobs will tend to flock together more than it's usually normal. You have timari breeding grounds between Thesos Falls Tor and Kipucka Plain, arana breeding grounds south of Dyron sometimes, etc. Everywhere, on each continent and region, if under the right conditions.

I certainly remember the overabundance of animals in CoI at times, made painfully visible by the fact that only 3 animals seem to really thrive (mektoub, izam and yubo to a less extent). It's not normal for so many herbivores to flock together without any predators, it harms nature after all; not in Zorai spirit.

Another oddity is the size of some mobs after resets or other events. Caprynis near Pyr are notorious for that, mektoub packers and mounts will sometimes be way taller than a homin, etc. If the Ryzom bible was still something to rely on, I'd say this is happening because of a glitch of the nanocores that formed Atys and probably still run it. :)

I saw well over a hundred frippos about 6 months ago in Den of Fury, so it wasn't just mobs, they were so cute, it must have been the smell of spring in the air! Birthing time! :D

It does seem to me that I have an easier time solo trekkin than I used to. PR seemed a bit thinned out as well as some of the more aggro-ey areas, Maybe the thinning of the carnivores led to an increase in herbies
