Hi everyone, I would like people to put their thoughts down on the current string of events that have taken place in Atys over the past 12 Months. This is NOT a griefing session on peoples comments or the events team so please keep your views respectful of others thoughts.

It just seems to me that the events that have taken place in the last 12 months all seem to be the same in concept.

Not listed by the correct event name for either :-

Halloween - Race around Atys - Prize was place a pumpkin anywhere on Atys.

Christmas - Race around Atys to find Elves - Prize is place a Christmas Tree anywhere on Atys.

It just seems that the major Holiday events seem to be lacking and that the events are just Races with some slight differences. I know i am not alone as many people have shared the same comments with me in tells, but i want to hear what the rest of the community has to say ?

I wish everybody a Merry Christmas and look forward to digging / fighting with you all into the new year.

I would personally prefer to see the holiday events as Ring Scenarios rather than disrupt the continuity of the main game.

Well there is more to do whiteknight, there are the snowman and tree hunts, I heard of an really strong yubo and didn't we have some presents scattered around the city's?

These events aren't RP based and do not take place in the lore of atys they are just for fun during the season

Several of us had a blast lat nite into early Christmas morning in what started a a tree hunt and then evolved into run around the world adding players to replace those who left funfest of killing trees,Named and any bosses we happened upon for several hours which was a goodtime for all. Just teaming and enjoying others company during the holiday is enough for me.

The "race around Atys to find elves " was not an event to place a tree anywhere in Atys. It was part of a series of events during the holiday season. The rewards from participating in this series of events, if any, are unknown. Those who participate do so because they want to. And its fun to group together and do some of these events.

The tree decoration event is a separate event.

You really can't judge any of these events from vague forum posts, You must participate in them and experience it for yourself.

In the less than 2 years that I have been here we have seen a lot of improvement in the events. New development features like the helper npc have helped improve events. The ability to get rewards to decorate your apartment and even make a present of one of your decoration items to another player with an apartment have been great strides forward.

That a few people choose to be unpaid volunteers, running these events, is a great thing.

Given the limited amount of resources the even team has, I'm happy to have events at all.
If you have your own visions e.g. ring scenarios, I'm excited to try them! You might even join the event team and introduce fresh ideas, it's all from the players to the players given we don't have an excellent but highly overpaid event team anymore. (RIP jolt)
