For Mac users there is an alternative fix available to the PvP timer bug:
Make sure to be logged out of Ryzom, then download and extract this zip: ftp://ftp.ryzom.com/pvpfix-gamedev.zip to a location of your choice.
Then go to your HD, Applications. Rightclick on Ryzom and choose "show package contents". In Contents/Resources/Data, rename gamedev.bnp to gamedev.bnp-org and then copy the extracted file.
Start Ryzom and your PvP timer should display correctly.
NB: If you don't have permission to rename the original file, press command + I and give yourself write permissions
