Après une petite recherche en anglais cette fois-ci, j'ai quelques solutions proposées qui pourrait résoudre le problème :

La démarche suivante ici :

1. In your Ryzom installation directory, find and delete the file log.log
2. Start the game normally, choose a character and enter the world
3. Press "U", click "Sound" options and make sure that your sound is turned on.
4. If "Use EAX" is on, turn it off and vice versa.
5. Make sure the all the volumes are set to middle levels.
5. Take a screenshot of the Options window
5. Press OK
5. If there is still no sound, exit the game and post the screenshot and the newly created log.log file here.

I installed PulseAudio and started the deamon and the sound works great in the game

Il faudrait également installer le paquet alsa-oss :
Installing the alsa-oss package may help
I use ALSA, so I installed alsa-oss instead of changing anything and it works fine

Dans le gestionnaire de paquet synaptic, alsa-oss n'est pas installé chez moi.
Ni pulseaudio évidemment.

J'aimerais bien tester, mais j'attend peut être d'avoir un avis ?!
