I'm trying to calculate possible thickness of a book with a postal envelope (and maybe extra cardboard shield inside)... less 3cm thick or more?
And possible weight.

The thickness of the book is 2.5cm. I don't have a scale, but if you have a scale and a book of the same size (14 by 21.6 centimeters), I think you can get an idea.
If I get the weight in the next few days, I'll let you know :-)
