The Chosen People of the Goddess have already been walking the humus of the forests of Verdant Heights for more than half a Jena Year. Matis vassals have already started to go back back to their regular lives after the Second Great Swarming and, day after day, rebuilding their ruined cities, trying to bring together the pieces of a past happy life, destroyed by the Kitins.
The threat the Kitins represented, swarming under the trees and near the cities, was what caused the vassals to pause in their rebuilding, join their strengths, and attempt to regain full control of their territories. Everywhere in the forest, hunts were organized and the Kingdom called upon the Guild of Karavia to lead the Matis People in the fight against the Kitins which gathered in the nests around their tunnels.
