Munenori
Alright, I signed up yesterday, created my character, and spent the next 4 hours training. Got totally sucked into the game.
I've never played an RPG before, hardly played any games at all. Now I understand what everybody has been talking about all these years...
Any hints for a total n00b, not just to this game, but to MMORPG in general?
Woha!
Study with all the trainers on Silan. Study with the Kami and, yes, with the Karavan as well. Train with Chiang the Strong. Listen to every word they say and read every word they write. So many homins are in a rush to reach the mainland that they neglect these first lessons because they believe the mainland must be so much more wonderful than little Silan.
It is true, the mainland does have much more to offer but it will not teach you what Chiang and the Rangers can teach you while on Silan.
(( Welcome to the Root Ball Munenori! Do all the Silan missions, really. If you are leaning toward the Kami, do the Karavan missions and vice versus. Even if you don't want to harvest and craft, do the missions anyway. Read the Lore, start questioning the factions: Kami or Karavan? Citizen of your home nation or another? Or remain neutral? Each has its own benefits but what would your character do?
Finally, ask questions. We're only a little scary around here. ;) ))
