Well, when I finally decided to leave Silan, I was trying to decide which capital city to go to. Anyways, I chose Tryker. It seemed like a good idea at the time, and still may not be a bad one: I like the Tryker people a lot, I like the looks of some of their stuff, it's a nice tropical location and I thought I read something about it being a good starting place.
I read somewhere on the forums that it was an easy enough place to start and that the Fyros Capital city was one of the hardest to start off in and also is the Matis capital city, and when I asked on the universe chat, everyone seemed to like the idea of me going there (but then again, some of them could have been lying), so I went.
Now, I'm having to try and hunt down mobs from level 8 to level 23 while avoiding crab-like mobs that are like level 35, and they are all nearly in the same small spot.
I met a Fyros woman there, but I can't remember her name. She told me that the Tryker capital city is actually one of the hardest places to start off at, and that the Matis capital city is almost just as hard. She also told me that Karavan people often say that their territories (or something like that) are easy to start off in, but it's not true.
She offered to help me trek to the Fyros capital city, but every time I log on, she's soon going to bed.
You see, I try to play during the afternoon, but it's usually near impossible. Either, I'm busy doing homework, doing chores, watching my baby sister, going for a walk outside or I'm trying to get information kind of like what I'm doing now. So, the only times I get to play is between 9:00 PM - 2:00 AM (if my baby sister goes to sleep before then and stays asleep) and, on Saturdays and Sundays, from sometime really early like 4:00 AM, 5:00 AM or 6:00 AM till about whenever everyone wake up.
So, if anyone is one during those times at least on Saturdays and Sundays, the help really would be appreciated, and just in case I can't find help and lose my patience, how hard is it to trek on foot, by myself, with only level 23 offensive and defensive magic and level 28 melee fight?
I also remember reading something about scheduled treks for newcomers. I might look some more into that. Sounds like a good way for me to see more of the land and reach my destination.
Also, since I most likely won't be leaving Tryker Land anytime soon, I'm thinking about learning how to craft Tryker weapons. I don't already know how to craft Fyros weapons, and I like the looks of the Tryker magic amplifiers and bow pistols, but I also like the looks of some Fyros weapons more, and Fyros magic amplifiers also look pretty cool.
I'm also interested in learning how to craft Matis light pants, but I'm not sure if it's worth 50 skill points just to get started and then 20 or 25 skill points to learn the plan for Matis light pants.
Only problem, is that I'm not sure what they all look like and whether or not if I want to craft Fyros or Tryker weapons or if it's worth learning how to craft Matis light pants. Getting resources to craft to level up my crafting skills isn't easy. I kinda suck at foraging, and killing mobs for resources is much quicker. However, it's a bit harder to do that when I'm a bit limited on where I can go and hunt.
It would be nice if I could get pictures of some stuff to see what they look like ahead of time. I can do this with items in shops and in my inventory, but not with plans.
I've tried looking in the wiki, but it hasn't been very helpful as far as item info goes. I do however, remember seeing some websites devoted to the game, but I can't remember all of their names.
So, basically, what I want to know is these:
What capital city is best to start off at as a Fyros person?
Can someone help me get there?
If not, how difficult would the journey be on foot for someone with my levels?
Is there a data base or something to show me what certain things I can craft with certain plans look like?
Is it worth investing over 50 crafting skill points just to learn how to craft light Matis style pants? ( I feel I already know the answer to that one)
Did I leave anything out?
Also, she said that the Kami faction are a rather friendly community and that the Karavan seem nice at first, but once you join, you're on your own most of the time. Is this true in your experience and opinion?
