I appreciate the efforts of the events team. I enjoy their events. However, they do not reserve the singular right to define what is/isn't approved roleplaying in this game, and nor do they get unilaterally define what is or isn't disruption.
As a *paying customer* I am more than a little upset at the poor response of those individuals representing Winch Gate at today's event. Their limited vision of roleplaying, and their callous treatment of paying customers, is inexcusable.
And as a paying customer, I'd like a response, not a dismissive response invoking line five of the courtesy policy. What is an insulting disruption, define your levels of response and how they are universally applied.
Better responses, than the abusive tactics invoked today:
1. Spawn guards into the region in such number that the Fyros had to leave, or let them die.
2. Place a bounty on the heads of the characters, set their MAtis fame to -100.
3. Have the king step in, and prove just how sovereign he is.
4. Have the characters get a summons be dexton, stating his disapproval of their actions.
5. Accept that the wedding was stopped, turn that into a reason to increase the level of hostilities between the Matis and Fyros.
Muting, and porting are not roleplaying responses, and should not be used to enforce upon paying customer, the singular vision of "how atys should be" of a small and limited number of people.
I'd like to know what Winch Gate plans on doing to prevent such future abuses of power.
