Heh, this seems similar to a discussion I once had about events. If you give rewards for something, people will just game the system for optimum rewards rather than really participate, thereby spoiling it for people who do just want to play and have fun. But if you don't give rewards for it, nobody will participate at all.If, as you say, most people are tagging only to cheat the system, then the answer isn't to increase the rewards or make them cheaper, it's to remove all rewards altogether.
It seems to me tagged PvP was never really supposed to be the primary way of earning faction points, but that small faction point rewards were just added to the PvP to give a little extra incentive and at least some reward. Would be nice to have a proper way of earning faction points again, imo.
