IDEAS FOR RYZOM


Range Fighting / Archery

The details of archery could get pretty complex, but we have to start somewhere. Besides that it would use arrows (also would be another craft), I havne't thought about what else archery would mean.

I was also thinking of another idea, but not so sure how others' would like it. There could be of course the standard auto-aim, but imagine that not having auto-aim is the disadvantage to ranging that balances it's new higher DPS and range. What I imply is that ranging could become the skill tree without any kind of auto-aim. Perhaps crosshairs could show up when a gun is in hand.

Now don;t get me wrong, I'm not trying to turn ryzom into an FPS. It would still be very far from that anyway. I'm just saying all-in-all that ranging is an obselete branch in the tree of ryzom features that has a massive amount of potential; I'm just trying to get the discussion started. :)
