I completely agree with Erizon. That would so awesome, not to mention motivating. It would be a sort of self-test to really see how your skills have improved over time. It would be like a skill to work towards improving that is indefintely there, unlike mastering a skill like melee which is, once obtained, the best and most exciting it will get.
It would be not just the long-term motivation, but also short term motivation for playing too. It's a very exciting chnage of pace. GvG is good, but I still think an intense PvE battle like Erizon desribed is exactly what ryzom is missing.
I must add I would like the battle to be dynamic, ever-changing. Everytime you go back it should be in role-play sense "yet another battle" with a dynamic map in which building positiions change somewhat, number of enemies, etc.
I think it should be treated similarly to ring scenraios; hosted seperately. Every battle should be similar but take place apart from battles some other players might be battling. Continued below:
