I think, it's why most of the players do them. Encyclopedia articles already can be read on sites like BM or ryzom.silenda.de without completing the rites. It's rewards that encourage people to do them. Shame, not all of the rewards are equal in terms of usability. Crafting stanzas for generic axe and rifle? Terrific! I want them NOW! they are also about the boosts/buffs/extra plans that come with completing them, and let's be honest, that's the main reason why some people do them.
