haha! A weekend. I didn't place every flag by hand! i'm not vermeer! I wrote a program that dithers a painting using only the ryzom map marker colors, and writes each resulting pixel as a marker in the landmarks.xml file in the ryzom installation. What is really surprising is that setting so many marker flags had no effect on load times or on framerates.
