For since then...: 'Atys is now a planet ravaged by a Kitin threat (which makes it a dangerous place' <-- and my proposal serves to defeat that invasory tide, or at least to make an honest attempt to do so and at that in a manner making Atys more attractive to newcomers and to oldtimers alike ;)

If you follow the Lore version of events, prior to the Great Swarm, Atys was a peaceful planet! That changed once the Kitin had been disturbed, and Atys is now a planet ravaged by a Kitin threat (which makes it a dangerous place). [...] Why would you want to remove fun from the game by parking the Kitin off at a safe distance?
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. :-)
