I know this is an old thread but I thought I'd chime in here for 2 reasons.
I don't see a warning yet even tho it is accepted.
But also I'd like to know if any research is being done on the admin/dev side to improve the efficiency of the backups. Ryzom is the only game I see as a player an effect on game play during a backup. Pretty much all games it is "invisible" to the playerbase.
