Is Ryzom in good health?

That's a very fair question Irfidel. This "exchange" is not being pleasant to me either.

When an mmo reaches it's end of life is dependant on many factors. Of course you can have servers running for years and a group of committed subscriptors, but it doesn't mean the game is *alive*. I am trying to clarify that out for Ryzom so I can decide if it's worth my time, effort and money (both as player and as for-fun developer). And not just mine.

Denying or just ignoring facts in order to believe that "everything is fine" is very human. Same goes to feeling attacked when they are put into words. But there is no need.

-We enjoy Ryzom as it is (was), and everyone is welcome to enjoy it too for as long as they accept it the same way we do.

That is ok. Really. But thinking it is alive when it's not... ends up with threads like this one. Please understand the "life" concept at it's full meaning.

I never intended to transform Ryzom into another game, just expected to see bugs fixed, game dynamics completed, then balanced, then improved... and so on for the neverending life cycle so it could have a healthy flux of players. But it didn't happen in all these years and Forge record doesn't look very oriented to it. Not even the bugs.

Isn't it fair to ask too? Sorry if I didn't do it in the best political way. Not my strongest point :p
