It entirely depends on how the game creators meant to shape the player experience. In some MMOs you grind levels just to push them out of the way, and make yourself available ASAP to end-game content (raiding bosses and such).
I believe that Winch Gate has designed the xp-curve in a way that the players will be stuck playing for a long time just leveling. Considering the lack of end-game content, bar a couple of activities, it feels obvious that WG will not (and more importantly should not) create ways to progress faster. Unless they introduce more content for high level players, speeding up their progress is pointless ;/
